As for the VE Commodore SW, the car pictured here seems to be the performance SS model equipped with GM’s 362 Hp 6.0L V8. If true, the VE Commodore SW SS could potentially find its way into the States as the Pontiac G8 SW rivaling the Dodge Magnum, but to be honest that’s a (very) long shot. Source: ls1forums
These two images featuring the Station Wagon version of the VE Commodore along with the HSV VE Ute appeared on the Australian LS1 & Holden forums and while we can’t be 100% sure about their authenticity, they certainly do look official in our eyes. Either way, since the Sydney Auto Show is just around the corner (Oct. 11) we’ll find out soon enough. Starting off with the HSV version of the recently introduced VE Ute -see details & images here, the Australian El-Camino apparently packs the same 412 Hp 6.0L V8 engine as the HSV Commodore and it’s British cousin, the Vauxhall VXR8. -Continued after the jump
