Back to the Future: Lorinser Teases 2011 Mercedes-Benz CLS

No, Mercedes-Benz has yet to reveal the next-generation of its CLS sports sedan. The Germans may have [somewhat] previewed the new CLS through the Shooting BreakConcept, but the actual production model will most likely be unwrapped at this Fall's Paris Motor Show.

Nonetheless, Mercedes-Benz tuning specialists Lorinser has published a teaser drawing of the upcoming 2011 CLS all-dressed up in a sporty bodykit that includes a unique grille, hood scoops, modified bumper, chunky side skirts, fender vents and extended wheel arches that house 21-inch light-alloy wheels.

The company added that along with the styling kit seen on the teaser sketch, it is also preparing numerous performance upgrades for the new 2011 Mercedes-Benz CLS.

Lorinser Treats Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe with Acura-esque Beak

Take that you devilish Acura-grille haters; with or without knowing it, famous Mercedes-Benz tuner, Lorinser, has followed in the footsteps of Honda's luxury arm crafting a beak-like grille on the 2010 E-Class Coupe. The new radiator grille is part of Lorinser's most recent package for the two-door German model.

Acura beak aside, body changes include a redesigned front bumper with integrated LED daytime running lights, new side skirts, a trunk lid spoiler, a rear bumper with a diffuser and a four pipe exhaust system.

A roof-mounted spoiler and new alloy wheels available in various designs and sizes up to 20-inches plus a 30mm lowered suspension round off the exterior package.

For the interior, Lorinser's offerings include aluminum pedals, a revised instrument cluster with a scaling of up to 330 km/h, a special floor mat set with leather lining and embroidered Lorinser emblem as well as illuminated door sills.

The German tuner said that it is currently working on several performance packages with more details to be released at a later date.

Lorinser Presents Two Design Studies for Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Gullwing

It's only been a week since Mercedes-Benz showed the kinky SLS AMG to the public for the first time in Frankfurt, but the tuning industry is already working on the development of various cosmetic and performance packages for the gullwing-supercar. One of the first tuners to release details for its SLS AMG plans is Lorinser. The Mercedes-Benz specialist published teaser renderings of two different styling packages that the company is currently considering for production.

The first design study is more in line with Lorinser's usual offerings. The somewhat aggressive aero kit includes an unpainted carbon-fiber hood, a front-apron with a pair of lights on each side, a new grille with the firm's family crest replacing Merc's three-point star (yes, we could all live without that) and side skirts.

The retro-inspired wire-spoke alloy wheels that appear to look pretty cool and fender eyebrows that hark back to the original 300SL along with various other carbon-fiber tidbits complete the package.

The second proposal, which looks better in our books, takes a more subtle approach paying homage to the original Gullwing model with fender eyebrows, twin humps on the hood and double air-vents on the sides. There's also a new front apron and different side skirts as well as wire-spoke alloy wheels.

Lorinser said that it has yet to decide if it will go ahead and produce a small-batch of either of the two studies.

Lorinser Readies Mercedes C-Class Based LV8 to Compete at Tuner Grand Prix

Mercedes-Benz tuning specialist Lorinser, has announced that it will participate in the 2009 Tuner Gran Prix that takes place in Hockenheim in Germany from June 26 to 27, with a specially modified Mercedes-Benz C-Class dubbed LV8. The tuner did not release any details on the car -though we're suspecting that the LV8 means it will be equipped with a V8 engine- but the firm's managing director stated that aside from the special tires, the LV8 will be totally street legal and that it will be offered for sale by Lorinser at a later date.

Lorinser's Stealthily Tuned 2010 Mercedes E-Class Sedan

Finally, a tuning proposal that our taste buds can relate to - the new Lorinser-prepped 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class sedan. For now, Lorinser has turned its focus on the E500 which gets a power kit that increases the 5.5-liter V8 engine's output from 388HP to 435HP while maximum torque has been raised from 530Nm to 570Nm. The Lorinser E500 also does away with the electronic speed limiter allowing the German premium sedan to reach a top speed of 280km/h or 174MPH.

Lorinser Smart Fortwo 104 HP

The Swabian tuning firm has released more details on its Smart Fortwo sport packages. The top version fitted with the 84 HP three-cylinder turbo engine has been enhanced to deliver 104 HP which allows the car to go up to 180 km/h or 112 mph (standard car’s top speed is electronically limited to 145 km/h or 90 mph). That might sound silly to most, but don’t forget that it's one thing going 112 mph in a C-Class and another in a car that's shorter than your bed… -Continued after the jump

As for the other versions of the new Fortwo, Lorinser boosts the 61 HP edition’s output to 71 HP allowing it to achieve a top speed of 156 km/h or 97 mph. Likewise, the 71 HP edition can be upgraded to deliver an output of 77 HP. In this case top speed is 160 km/h or 99 mph.

Lorinser Mercedes SL Nardo3: Top Speed 202 Mph - 325 km/h

Lorinser’s 660 HP Mercedes-Benz SL Nardo3 managed to achieve a top speed of 202 mph or 325 km/h at the Nardo race circuit in Southern Italy. Based on the 612 Hp Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG, the limited edition Nardo3 (only 50 units will be sold worldwide) is equipped with a slightly modified version of the standard V12 Biturbo engine delivering 660 HP and 1,013 Nm or 747,2 lbs of maximum torque. -Continued

“The Nardo3 is a race machine designed for the road. The goal we tried to achieve with this design was to allow the driver to have as much fun as possible and, at the same time, enjoy the atmosphere the car creates,” explains Marcus Lorinser, Managing Director of the Winnenden maker.

Exterior-wise, the flanks of the vehicle are marked by the aggressive front and rear bumpers, widened fenders, and gigantic air intakes. The latter are used for effectively deflecting the heat generated by the engine and brakes.

The vehicle’s interior, on the other hand, retains all the creature comforts including seats that are both comfortable and provide sufficient support as well as the opulent and comprehensive Alcantara interior equipment.

Lorinser tunes the 2008 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

Lorinser is one of the first tuners to get its hands on the all-new Mercedes-Benz C-Class that goes by the internal code W204. There’s no English press release out yet but we did managed to download a pdf file from the German tuner so we’ve got some initial facts. Design-wise, Lorinser has dressed the 2008 C-Class with 18’' or 19’’ alloys and a stylish, yet dynamic bodykit that doesn’t go overboard. The most notable change of course is the side air-vents.-Continued: Click “Read More…” below -UPDATE: Official English press release added

Lorinser sort of lost its taste though when it came to the interior with its bright-red and black coloured trim and the quilt-type seat dressings. As for mechanics, from what we where able to make out, Lorinser offers tuned versions of the 3.0 V6 diesel and 3.5 V7 petrol engines that deliver 261 and 305 Hp respectively (from 224 & 272 Hp). The Lorinser C 320 CDI accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h (62mph) in 7,1 sec (stock: 7,7 sec) achieving a (governed) top speed of 250 km/h (155mph).

PRESS RELEASE

Get close to the new Mercedes-Benz C-Class and you will believe you can sense pounding of an athlete’s heart, and the tensing of muscles. Never before has Mercedes-Benz released a sedan this dynamic.

Just like a great tailored suit, the tuning options offered by Lorinser bring out the best qualities of its wearer. Precision artisanship and a sense for the right line forge the dynamic ensemble. Especially notable are the large air intakes in the fenders, which like the nostrils of a thoroughbred breathe pure performance. The characteristic styling accents make this vehicle an unmistakable member of the Lorinser collection. Underlining the muscular appearance of this youthful and dynamic style are the technical lines of the side skirts, which highlight the clear contours of the vehicle.

A focus point are the 6 gill-like air-vents. The side skirts are the optical link between the turbine style Lorinser type RS8 light alloy wheels. Alternatively a large range of other wheel designs is available from Lorinser. When viewed from the front, most impressive is the Lorinser front bumper spoiler for the C-Class. However most will likely be seeing the rear of the vehicle thanks to the performance gains provided by the Lorinser Diesel Module, which adds considerable power.

The large air intake in the center, covered by a webbed grille, is reminiscent of motor sports. To the left and right, large fog lights form optical focus points highlighting the horizontal nature of the front bumper spoiler, and create a face for the vehicle. A sporty grille, perpendicular in design to the front is the stile accent at the rear. Hear it forms a perfect contour element for the fully integrated Lorinser sport exhaust, which sounds just as great as it looks. Formally the tip design is found in the sail shape of high performance boats, reflecting the synthesis of dynamics and luxury. And just like a yacht in water, the C-Class appears to meld into tarmac, thanks to the lowering kit.
