VIDEO: To the Track! BMW M3 GTS 450HP Launched

The very fast, very orange, very track-tastic M3 GTS officially drops in July. After VAT, it'll cost you €136,850 and change in Germany. The most powerful BMW M3 ever built for public consumption packs a 450 horsepower (331 kW) V8 stroked to 4.4 liters that's backed by a 7-Speed BMW M-DCT.

For all the high-tech mumbo-jumbo (such as what makes the suspension and brakes so special), feel free to peruse our previous post by clicking here.

BMW's tangerine dream hits 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.4 seconds, and peaks at 305 km/h (no electronic limiters here, folks).

The GTS's power to weight ratio is an impressive 3.4 kg (7.48 lbs) per horsepower after lipo-suctioning its innards and feeding it nothing but carbon fiber, resulting in a 70 kg / 154 lb drop in mass.

According to BMW, the car's dry weight is 1,530 kg / 3,366 lbs with the DCT and roll-bar installed.

Buyers can opt to add automatic HVAC and a radio if they need to, but it'll cost extra.

For people who find those kinds of things necessary in a track car, go buy yourself a Frappuccino before watching the videos. If you can do without the accessories, sit back and dream.
